Their day started off with a dramatic twist: a huge thunderstorm! This was only the third time in my career as an Idaho wedding photographer that I've witnessed such a massive storm during a ceremony. Idaho summers, I suppose. For a solid 30 minutes, the skies put on a show above Williams Lake, with loud thunderclaps, bright bolts of lightning, and heavy rain that felt like something out of a movie.
Luckily, the storm didn’t last forever. Guests took advantage of the cozy lodge at Williams Lake, enjoying drinks and good company while waiting for the skies to clear. Once the rain stopped, the ceremony area was quickly cleaned up, and as if on cue, the sun came out, making everything even more magical.
Now, let's talk about that arch. It was AMAZING, truly magazine-worthy. The fresh white roses against the backdrop of the lake added such elegance. The floral arrangements and greenery brought the entire space to life, creating a breathtaking scene that felt straight out of a fairytale.
After the ceremony and their first kiss, we snuck off to the nearby Shipwreck House at Williams Lake Resort for some intimate portraits. Tyler and Torry got the best of both worlds—stunning lakeside shots and charming, rustic portraits at this unique location.
To top it off, they had both a DJ and a live band, which kept the energy high all night. A special surprise came when Torry shared a beautifully choreographed dance with her dad, adding a heartwarming touch to the celebration.
It was truly an unforgettable day here in Salmon, Idaho, where the unpredictable weather added a dash of excitement to a perfect wedding!
